3D Printing

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon - FDM

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is one of the most widely used 3D printing technologies and a great choice for both first-time users and professionals. It works by melting a spool of plastic filament and building your object layer by layer, much like drawing with a hot glue gun. This method is perfect for creating strong, affordable parts for everyday use, functional tools, or design prototypes.

As you move into more advanced applications, FDM supports a wide range of materials—including PLA, PETG, ABS, Nylon, and carbon fiber-reinforced composites—each with specific benefits in strength, flexibility, or heat resistance. FDM prints are highly customizable in size, strength, and infill, making them well-suited for enclosures, mechanical components, jigs, fixtures, and other structural uses. While prints may show fine layer lines, optional post-processing like sanding or vapor smoothing can enhance their finish for more polished results.

Anycubic Photon Mono M7 Max - MSLA

Masked Stereolithographic Apparatus (MSLA) is ideal when you need extremely fine detail, smooth surfaces, and a high-quality finish right out of the printer. It uses liquid resin that is cured layer by layer with UV light, producing sharp edges and intricate features that are perfect for miniatures, figurines, prototypes, and medical or dental models.

For more advanced users, resin printing—especially using LCD or MSLA technologies—offers layer resolutions as fine as 19 microns, capturing details that are nearly impossible with other methods. Resin types vary from standard and ABS-like to flexible, tough, and even biocompatible formulas, each suited to different functional and visual needs. While resin parts tend to be more brittle than FDM prints, their superior surface quality and precision make them a top choice for detailed visual models. Post-processing includes rinsing the prints in isopropyl alcohol and curing them under UV light to achieve full strength and durability.
